In partnership with Over-the-Rhine and Downtown Cincinnati restaurants, La Soupe is hosting a fundraiser to benefit food insecure families in the area. La Soupe bridges the gap between rampant food waste and hunger in the community by rescuing food that would otherwise by unnecessarily wasted. Event attendees will visit restaurants along the streetcar route, with each participating restaurant providing tapas and a cocktail prepared with rescued food ingredients provided by La Soupe. This event is a fun way to educate our community and further support the food insecure using the talent and creativity of the city's top chefs. Participating restaurants include A TAVOLA, Anchor, The Mercer and PLEASE, as well as downtown restaurants including Jean-Robert's Table, Via Vote, Orchids and Boca. The lineup of restaurants continues to grow daily and now includes suburban restaurants La Petite Pierre, The Farmstand, National Exemplar and The Birch, which will host pop up restaurants at select streetcar stops. Attendees can use the streetcar, as well as GEST electric cars, to travel to each participating restaurant. The evening begins at the First Lutheran Church at 1208 Race Street and concludes at JAPPS at 1136 Main Street.
