This six-week beginner course is designed for participants with little or no yoga experience. Students are introduced to Ashtanga yoga in a slow, safe and comprehensive manner. This beginner yoga course is progressive, in order that each class will allow students to build from the previous classes.
At the end of this course, students will be equipped with the knowledge of the history of the Ashtanga Yoga method, physical foundation of the sun-salutations, standing postures and breath work required to advance in the Ashtanga practice. We will explore the core poses (asanas) of the primary Series, weaving the 4 key elements of the Ashtanga system (Breath, Bandhas, Dristhi & Vinyasa) together to develop a great beginners practice.
