Cincinnati Sound Chorus Presents "This Is Your Life" An Anniversary Celebration

Since the merger of Seven Hills Chorus and Queen City Chorus ten years ago, Cincinnati Sound Chorus has delighted audiences with timeless songs like "Cincinnati's My Town," "Love Letters," and more current tunes like "Sway" and "Happy." Join us for a journey through time as we celebrate ten years of musical highlights.  There will be a lot of fun surprises along the way!

On Saturday, December 3rd, 2016, at 7:30 p.m., the chorus will present "This is Your Life" An Anniversary Celebration at the JCC of Cincinnati, 8485 Ridge Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45236. Tickets are $20.00 for age 11 and up, $10.00 for ages 10 and under.  Tickets may be obtained from any chorus member or on the chorus' web site, www.cincinnatisound.org.

The a cappella barbershop style graces all types of music - and the audience will enjoy popular songs, old standards, show tunes, and more in this entertaining program by the chorus, quartets, and the Sound Effects ensemble.  There will be a special guest performance by Tenacious Quartet.  In April 2015, Tenacious was named Harmony Heartland Region 4 Quartet Champions after being together a little over 3 months.  In 2016, they placed 2nd and qualified as a wild card contestant at the international level.  Professionally, they are an elementary music educator and musical theatre director, speech pathologist, purchasing manager, and police detective.  Privately, they are wives, mothers of 5 children, and caregivers to 5 dogs and 5 cats.  All are members of the internationally ranked Scioto Valley Chorus and Capitol Showcase choruses.

Cincinnati Sound Chorus is comprised of 55 singers from ages 16 to 80 who come from a wide range of backgrounds and musical experience -  all connected by a love of singing barbershop harmony.  The group is led by Master Director Lynn Hartmuth and is the proud Fifth Place Medalist in the 2016 Harmony Heartland regional competition among choruses from parts of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama.  The chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International (www.sweetadelineintl.org), the largest women's singing and vocal music education organization in the world.
