Dr. Peggy Brunache, a
visiting international scholar specializing in historical
archaeology and slavery at Northern Kentucky University, will speak about her
excavations at the Parker Academy (founded 1839 in New Richmond), the first
integrated, co-ed school in Ohio. Dr. Brunache is a Ford Foundation scholar
working in conjunction with the National Underground Freedom Center. This
