Bill Medley Comes To Cincinnati In Support Of CPS - Cincinnati Event

September 10, 2015 - Cincinnati

108 W Central Pkwy
Cincinnati, OH 45202
513-769-1700

The Righteous Brothers' Bill Medley, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, will perform September 10, 2015, at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), 108 W. Central Parkway, at 8:30 pm.  Proceeds from the performance will go to Activities Beyond the Classroom, benefiting Cincinnati Public Schools and the SCPA.

NAI Bergman, a commercial real estate development, brokerage and property management firm who has worked with Cincinnati Public Schools for a number of years in selling older school buildings that were replaced with new facilities across the District, are now helping to bring The Righteous Brothers' Bill Medley to Cincinnati for the benefit of students. Laurence Bergman, President of NAI Bergman, and his partners chose to raise awareness for Cincinnati Public School programs through supporting charitable giving targeted to benefit CPS students. "The District appreciates these outstanding community partners who give back to our students", says Bill Myles, Assistant Superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools.

Activities Beyond the Classroom and its Executive Director, Brian Leshner, joined the effort.  "Activities Beyond the Classroom supports CPS students with diverse extracurricular activities that complement their academic career building.  We are excited to have Bill Medley, a musical overachiever and legend, support ABC and the District. Funds raised through ticket sales and the generosity of sponsors will benefit extracurricular activities for SCPA and Cincinnati Public Schools."

Bill Medley is a seminal figure in the history of American music. He is best known as half of the unmistakable duo, The Righteous Brothers. Their raw, emotional rhythm and blues sound created the genre "blue-eyed soul." Starting in the mid-1960s, the Righteous Brothers became a fixture on Top Forty radio with hits including "(I've Had) The Time of My Life", "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", "Just Once in My Life", "Unchained Melody", and "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration," creating an ultra-dramatic take on Sixties pop romance.
