Cincinnati  - Instrumental pop pianist and Ohio native Jim Brickman will celebrate the sounds of two decades with a one-of-a-kind concert event filled with soaring vocals at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati (317 E. 5th Street) on Friday, March 13 at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.).

Hailed by the Boston Herald as a "crowd-pleaser," Brickman has revolutionized the sound of solo piano with his pop-style instrumentals and star studded vocal collaborations. He will showcase new music and the hits that made him the most charted (30) Billboard® Adult Contemporary artist, earning him two Grammy® nods and four gold albums. The Platinum Tour: Celebrating 20 Years will take the audience on a musical journey with an experience of emotion, intimacy, warmth and humor fused together with Brickman's most beloved hits like

"Valentine," "Rocket to the Moon," "If You Believe" and "Love of My Life."

A native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Brickman began playing piano at the age of five, studying at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music where he was honored with a scholarship in his name. He has established a reputation for his collaborations with many musical artists including Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum, Johnny Mathis, Michael W. Smith, Kenny Loggins, Carly Simon, Collin Raye, Michael Bolton, Donny Osmond, Wayne Brady, Olivia Newton-John and Herb Alpert. 

 

Brickman is the host of a weekly syndicated radio show, Your Weekend with Jim Brickman, airing on 80+ stations across North America and authored two best-selling books, Simple Things and Love Notes.  Brickman champions many charitable foundations including his cherished relationship with The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans and is a strong supporter of PBS, filming four TV specials for the network.

 

Jim Brickman's radio show can be heard every Saturday morning (6a-10a) on Warm 98 (98.5) where he'll play the best weekend music along with celebrity interviews and tips on how to look and feel your best for less.
