December 11, 2015 to December 12, 2015 - Forest Park
Cincinnati Black Theatre Company Presents:
BLACK NATIVITY - Jesus Matters
December 11th & 12th
Adapted from Langston
Hughes 'Black Nativity'
Black Nativity, originally performed in 1961, was a celebration of more than just Christmas. Black Nativity celebrated what happened in Bethlehem some 2,000 years prior with a distinctly African American flavor, bringing to light, not only the story of baby Jesus, but the beauty of gospel music and the genius of Hughes!
Today Black Nativity is adorn national and internationally and is a regular seasonal favorite of CBTC! CBTC is delighted to feature new and exciting twists each and every year through vibrant and royal costuming, majestic storytelling, graceful dance and music! Come experience what others have for years and join CBTC in the true meaning of Christmas through inspirational music and dance.
